As a playwright Alice’s work has been produced in eight states and counting. Most notably, she won Chicago Dramatist’s New Play Bake-Off at The Goodman and the 2015 Mary Scruggs Works by Women Festival. In 2017 her play The Hole opened at Filament Theatre, and her collection of plays FHS was featured in a workshop reading at Greenhouse Theatre with support from Victory Gardens. Her one-act In the Name of Things We Need toured the Southwest with New Carpa Theatre and was featured at The Last Frontier Theatre Festival in Valdez, Alaska. Her full-length play True was part of Arizona State’s 2013 mainstage theatre season, and her short Pinned was a semi-finalist for The Little Black Dress Ink contest in 2016. She has also devised numerous new works for youth and teens.
Her opinion essays and poetry have been published by The Second City Network, Cengage Learning, Redeye Chicago, HowlRound Theater Commons, Thought Catalog, Mistake House, The North Central Review, the now defunct Bygone Bureau, and Amazon. She is seeking representation for her collection of short stories.
Alice has written a pilot for television and two screenplays (with one more on the way). She served as the story editor for the webseries Bottom Little Theatre and has a small bouquet of packets for late night you can absolutely paw through.
